The public site has no login. You can read everything here without identifying yourself.
What we record
On your first visit we give you an anonymous identifier, kept in a cookie for up to six months. It is random — it is not derived from your IP address or device — so repeat visits count as one visitor. When you tap a “Listen on” button we record which episode and platform you chose, that identifier, the referring page and the time. That is how we know whether this product is useful.
Testing layouts
We sometimes show visitors one of two versions of a page to learn which works better. A second cookie remembers which version you were given, so it stays the same between visits. We record that version once with your anonymous identifier, and again with each “Listen on” tap. Nothing else about you is involved.
If you sign up for the digest we store your address, where on the site you signed up, and when. The digest has not started sending yet. When it does, every email will carry a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the send list immediately.
Audio and transcripts
We do not host or stream audio. Transcripts we generate are kept privately and are never published or indexed; only our own summaries are shown.
